A legacy brand with deep roots in California and a reputation for quality, innovation, and integrity. This publicly traded company is looking for a Senior Accountant to add to their talented team. As a Senior Accountant, you will report to the Accounting Manager and serve as an instrumental component of a vital team in the organization.
In this role, you will:
- Handle Balance Sheet accounts reconciliation of high-volume and high-value accounts such as accrued expenses, bank clearing accounts, accrued inventory purchases, prepaids.
- Develop, document, and implement procedures and policies to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the reporting process
- Ensure all reconciliations comply with internal controls and external audit requirements, providing necessary documentation and explanations during audit
- Prepare and post month-end journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, amortizations, and reclassifications, to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Execute and monitor month end close activities.
- Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations in a timely manner.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, yearly consolidated financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and support external and internal audits.
- Supports special projects and ad-hoc reporting as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required); CPA or CMA certification preferred
- Minimum of 5 - 7 years of experience in accounting or a related field
- Experience in general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and account reconciliations
- Excellent system skills including advanced Excel
Compensation up to $120,000 + bonus!
