RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• 36 guaranteed hours per week with every other weekend requirement
\n• Patient ratios: 1:4-5 during days, 1:4-6 during nights
\n• Float required to the med-surg unit to meet facility needs
\n• On-call duties required
\n• 2 years of nursing experience required
\n• BCLS certification required
\n• EPIC charting system experience required
\n• Orthopedic or plastics post-surgical skills required (either one acceptable)
\n• 24 hours of orientation provided
\n• Navy scrubs required (top, jacket & bottom)
\n• Care for adult patients with short stay orthopedic, urology, and plastics surgery conditions
\n• Majority of orthopedic population consists of joint replacement surgery patients
\n• Experience with surgical drains and total joint replacement required
\n• First-time travelers accepted
\n• Maximum 7 days RTO per 13-week contract
\n• Must reside outside 75-mile radius from facility

This short-term acute care hospital operates 68 staffed beds with a medical-surgical unit featuring 26 rooms and 41 beds. The facility maintains an average daily census of 14 patients and specializes in providing care for patients undergoing orthopedic, urology, and plastic surgery procedures. The hospital utilizes EPIC charting system and provides free employee parking. The facility emphasizes quality patient care with appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios and comprehensive orientation programs for new staff members.
