Job Designation:

The Production Assembler I performs a range of routine mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operations under well-defined instructions and in accordance with company policies and safety procedures.

Core Responsibilities:

• Perform routine mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly of small parts or components following company procedures.
• Review shop traveler route cards or basic schematic drawings to confirm correct sequence of operations.
• Position very small parts such as ceramic boards, crystals, gages, fine pins, solder particles, and epoxy under a binocular microscope using tweezers or positioning fixtures.
• Adjust, bend, align, and solder fine wires to resistors and base parts.
• Bond or seal parts or assemblies with epoxy using direct heating elements or ovens and conduct in-process testing.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance; may be required to work nights, weekends, and additional hours as necessary.

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; vocational training or relevant work experience preferred.

Certifications:

• Vocational training, apprenticeships, or equivalent experience in a related field preferred.

Experience:

• 0–2 years of relevant experience

Skills:

• Good mechanical aptitude
• Proficient in using hand tools and light machinery
• Basic math skills
• Ability to read and interpret company documents such as safety rules and work instructions
• Strong manual dexterity for handling small components
• Problem-solving ability using established procedures
• Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
