Job Designation:
The Production Assembler I performs a range of routine mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operations under well-defined instructions and in accordance with company policies and safety procedures.
Core Responsibilities:
- Perform routine mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly of small parts or components following company procedures.
- Review shop traveler route cards or basic schematic drawings to confirm correct sequence of operations.
- Position very small parts such as ceramic boards, crystals, gages, fine pins, solder particles, and epoxy under a binocular microscope using tweezers or positioning fixtures.
- Adjust, bend, align, and solder fine wires to resistors and base parts.
- Bond or seal parts or assemblies with epoxy using direct heating elements or ovens and conduct in-process testing.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance; may be required to work nights, weekends, and additional hours as necessary.
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; vocational training or relevant work experience preferred.
Certifications:
- Vocational training, apprenticeships, or equivalent experience in a related field preferred.
Experience:
- 0–2 years of relevant experience
Skills:
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Proficient in using hand tools and light machinery
- Basic math skills
- Ability to read and interpret company documents such as safety rules and work instructions
- Strong manual dexterity for handling small components
- Problem-solving ability using established procedures
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
