Pay: $83,200 - $105,000 (Salaried, 40 hours/week, dependent on years of experience)
About Our Client:
Addison Group is partnering with a healthcare organization seeking anexperienced HIM Manager to lead a small team and serve as the organization’s Privacy Officer. This role is available due to an internal career transition and offers the opportunity to influence processes, enhance compliance, and support cross‑functional teams.
Job Description:
The HIM Manager will oversee daily Health Information operations, lead privacy initiatives, support EHR workflows (Epic or comparable systems), and ensure medical record accuracy and compliance. This individual will collaborate closely
with leadership across revenue cycle, clinical operations, and IT.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team managing Release of Information and compliance-related review functions.
- Oversee HIPAA privacy practices, incident reviews, and breach investigations.
- Prepare and submit required notifications and documentation to regulatory entities.
- Monitor and improve HIM processes, documentation standards, and audit practices.
- Ensure medical charts meet internal and external compliance expectations.
- Partner with operational and technical teams to identify workflow gaps and implement process improvements.
- Utilize Epic (or similar EHR) experience to support data integrity and HIM operations.
Qualifications:
- RHIT or RHIA credential strongly preferred
- Prior experience supervising or leading HIM or privacy‑related teams
- Strong understanding of HIPAA requirements and privacy regulations
- Experience with Epic or a comparable electronic health record system
- Skilled in problem‑solving, communication, and cross‑department collaboration
- Ability to work onsite Monday–Friday, 7–3 or 8–4
Additional Details:
- Full‑time, salaried | 40 hours per week
- Fully onsite role
- Reports directly to the Director of Revenue Cycle
- Interview process includes one to two onsite interviews
