Job Title: Psychiatric Technician
Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Psychiatric Technician to join our team in a behavioral health setting. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting patients’ daily care while helping maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment. Schedule & Pay
- Shift: Day Shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) / 3 - 12 hour shifts (Days will vary week to week)
- Pay Rate: $17.41 - $18.41/hr
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily supervision and support to patients as part of a multidisciplinary care team
- Maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment
- Observe and report changes in patient behavior, condition, or concerns to the Registered Nurse
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed
- Monitor and document vital signs, patient activities, and specialized observations
- Complete accurate and timely documentation in patient medical records
- Ensure readiness and proper use of emergency procedures and equipment
- Support unit operations by collaborating with nurses, team leaders, and peers
- Assist in training and onboarding new staff as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a psychiatric or behavioral health setting preferred, but not required.
- Strong observation, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to remain calm and responsive in emergency situations
- Team-oriented with a patient-focused approach

This is a Permanent position based out of Louisville, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36212.80 - $38292.80/yr.
