About This Role

As a virtual school psychologist, you'll support students across multiple grade levels in overing academic, behavioral, and emotional challenges through innovative telepractice services. You'll work with cutting-edge technology to deliver evidence-based interventions and assessments while maintaining the highest standards of clinical care.

Time mitment: 35-37.5 hours per week Student Caseload: 46-56 students across various virtual educational environments Grade Levels: Pre-K through 12th grade Platform: Advanced telepractice technology with secure clinical access

Essential Responsibilities

  • Conduct prehensive psychological assessments using virtual testing protocols
  • Provide individual and group counseling services through secure teletherapy platforms
  • Develop and monitor behavioral intervention plans tailored to virtual learning environments
  • Collaborate with virtual classroom teachers to address student academic and behavioral needs
  • Support families in navigating mental health resources and educational services
  • Participate in virtual IEP meetings and special education evaluation processes
  • Deliver crisis intervention and emergency mental health support when needed

Required Qualifications

  • State Licensure: Active school psychologist license in New Mexico
  • Educational Background: Master's degree in School Psychology or related field
  • School Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in educational settings
  • Telepractice Proficiency: Experience with virtual assessment tools and teletherapy platforms
  • Professional Development: mitment to ongoing training in evidence-based practices

Preferred Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree in School Psychology (Ph.D., Psy.D., or Ed.D.)
  • Experience with virtual psychological assessments and remote service delivery
  • Specialized training in cognitive-behavioral therapy and trauma-informed interventions
  • Background in special education and developmental disabilities
  • Bilingual capabilities for serving diverse student populations
