POSITION SUMMARY: The Marketing Intern role offers hands-on experience across marketing functions. They provide administrative and marketing support to sales and recruiting teams inclusive of event promotion, developing and posting social media content to company channels, internal marketing content, supporting customer/client events and activities, and designing digital content that aligns to Epitec’s brand. This role will utilize and developing an understanding of software tools, including applicant tracking system, Jira, Wordpress, Microsoft programs such as Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook, and applications like Constant Contact, Adobe Creative Suite and Canva.
This is an onsite, part-time internship opportunity at our company headquarters in Southfield, Michigan. Must be available for a minimum 9 weeks and maximum 12 weeks. Interns will partake in various activities throughout their term to enhance their experience and will be asked to present a presentation at the end of the internship to executives and senior managers.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and schedule social media content across platforms.
- Design internal marketing materials such as incentive flyers.
- Update company website as delegated.
- Support planning and execution of customer/client events and activities.
- Design digital content that aligns with the company’s brand guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent messaging and branding.
- Monitor engagement and performance of social media posts.
- Help maintain marketing calendars and timelines.
- Conduct research and document findings to support marketing and sales initiatives.
- Provide general administrative support to the marketing team, including data entry and organizing materials.
- Assist in errands on an as-needed basis and as delegated.
- Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as necessary and delegated, contributing to the overall efficiency of the team.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- AJunior or Senior currently pursuing a degree in Marketing or a related field. Recent graduates may also be considered.
- Strong interest in marketing or recruiting.
- Eagerness to learn and develop marketing skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with marketing tools and software including Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Basic knowledge of social media platforms and their use in B2B marketing.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
- Strong interpersonal skills, maintaining confidentiality, remaining open to diverse perspectives, and demonstrating a willingness to embrace new ideas and approaches.
- Proficient written communication skills, editing work for spelling and grammar, ability to facilitate clear and precise communication.
