About the Role

This role reports directly to the Director of Operations. This individual will help to manage administrative needs for the attorneys, including assistance with scheduling, mailing projects, document preparation, client coordination, and more. This candidate should have the ability to think on the fly and be self-sufficient in managing a diverse set of tasks efficiently. Must be diligent at tracking and following up on pending tasks.


Tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide phone support to the receptionist on all incoming calls.
  • Provide assistance with managing incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
  • Assist in scheduling appointments and maintaining calendars for our team of attorneys.
  • Proofread, organize, and file legal documents and correspondence accurately.
  • Special projects as may be requested by the President and the Director of Operations.


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.


Desired Skills/Experience:

  • Familiarity with professional phone etiquette and email communication.
  • The ability to be self-sufficient in managing a diverse set of tasks efficiently without direct oversight or prompting.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills: the ability to maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail, especially with respect to proofreading documents and scheduling with the availability of multiple people.
  • Strong spelling and grammar and a clear command of the English language.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in an organized manner.
  • A strong respect for client confidentiality.
  • Prior experience in an administrative role is strongly preferred but not required.
  • Prior experience in a professional office setting is strongly preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency with standard programs like Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. is strongly preferred but not required.

Job Type: Full Time, 40 hours, Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM

Pay: $25.00-28.00 per hour dependent on experience.
