Big Sky Specialty Compounding is looking for a dedicated, detail-loving, safety-driven Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) and Director of Compounding to guide our non-sterile compounding operations in beautiful Kalispell, Montana.

What You’ll Do
As our PIC, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping a top-tier compounding operation. You will:
- Lead pharmacy operations with full responsibility for compliance, quality, and safety.
- Oversee and participate in preparing high-quality non-sterile compounded medications.
- Ensure strict adherence to USP <795> and USP <800> standards.
- Develop, implement, and monitor QA programs, training, documentation, audits, and equipment upkeep.
- Maintain strong safety protocols, including PPE use and hazardous drug handling.
- Review prescriptions for accuracy and clinical appropriateness.
- Mentor and support technicians and staff for optimal workflow and continuous improvement.
- Partner with clinicians, providers, and patients to support exceptional medication therapy outcomes.
- Troubleshoot, innovate, and think creatively to deliver outstanding compounding solutions.
- Bring adaptability, problem-solving, and a can-do attitude to daily operations.
What You Bring:
- PharmD or Bachelor of Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
- Active (or eligible) Montana pharmacist license.
- Experience in non-sterile compounding, including hazardous drug handling.
- Strong working knowledge of USP <795> and <800>.
- Leadership experience or prior PIC role strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication, organization, and team leadership skills.
- A self-driven mindset, Montana-style work ethic, and a positive, collaborative approach.
- A desire to manage the compounding pharmacy as if it were your own—with full support from our team.
Bonus Skills:
- Experience in compounding or specialty pharmacy settings.
- Familiarity with PK compounding software and QA systems.
- Proven training, coaching, and supervisory strengths.
