Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher serving elementary students in grades 3-5 within an inclusive push-in/pull-out model. The position is based in Murfreesboro, TN, and involves working with a caseload of 15 students. This contract role begins ASAP with an official start date of January 5th and continues through May 23, 2026, the end of the school year.
Key responsibilities include delivering specialized instruction tailored to individual student needs, collaborating with general education teachers and support staff, implementing IEPs, and monitoring student progress within a supportive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid Tennessee Special Education Teaching Certification (TN SPED Teaching Cert) is required.
- Experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably grades 3-5.
- Ability to effectively manage a caseload of approximately 15 students.
- Familiarity with inclusive education models, including push-in and pull-out services.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams and families.
Position Details:

- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, 5 days per week.
