Pharmacy Clerk Compensation

Schedule

• Sunday: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
• Wednesday: 6:00 PM – 10:30 PM
• Thursday: 6:00 PM – 10:30 PM
• Friday: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM

• Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs

Pharmacy Clerk Responsibilities

• Fill prescription vials with prescribed tablets and capsules accurately
• Retrieve and process bulk medications and unit-of-use products
• Verify medication strength, size, and labeling before filling prescriptions
• Replenish medications in automated pharmacy cells
• Use handheld scanners to scan product barcodes and track inventory
• Perform basic counting and calculations to ensure correct prescription quantities
• Maintain focus and attention to detail while completing repetitive tasks with accuracy
• Process prescription shipments including packing paperwork and attaching shipping labels
• Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy work area
• Follow HIPAA guidelines and pharmacy procedures to ensure patient safety and privacy
• Assist with housekeeping and other duties as assigned

Pharmacy Clerk Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs consistently
• Ability to stand and walk continuously during an 8+ hour shift
• Ability to perform basic math, reading, and writing tasks
• Ability to bend, reach, twist, grasp, and handle repetitive tasks
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Reliable transportation for scheduled shifts
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Pharmacy technician or pharmacy support experience
• Warehouse or production environment experience
• Pharmacy Technician education or training preferred (not required in New York)
• Basic computer skills
