Job Title: Sous Chef

Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 per year
Job Summary
A high-volume, full-service restaurant is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to support daily kitchen operations. This role oversees food preparation, manages kitchen staff, maintains inventory, and ensures all food is prepared to quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate daily food preparation
- Ensure recipes, portions, and plating standards are followed
- Schedule, train, and evaluate kitchen employees
- Maintain proper food storage, sanitation, and safety standards
- Monitor inventory and order food and kitchen supplies
- Assist with hiring and disciplinary actions when needed
- Communicate with management and front-of-house teams
- Support the Executive Chef with daily operations
Qualifications
- Experience as a Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager, or similar role
- Strong cooking skills and knowledge of kitchen operations
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation regulations
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
- ServSafe Management Certification (or ability to obtain)
