Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A temporary position is available for a licensed School Social Worker to provide essential support to high school students through the end of the 20252026 school year. This role involves leave coverage for a social worker on maternity leave and focuses on addressing students social-emotional needs within a public high school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students facing social-emotional challenges through individual and group interventions
- Provide crisis intervention and attendance support to promote student well-being and academic success
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and community agencies to coordinate resources and services
- Manage caseload effectively, focusing on high school-aged students
Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota School Social Worker license (LGSW, LISW, or LICSW as required by district)
- Experience in school settings preferred, demonstrating familiarity with public school environments and adolescent development
- Ability to commit to the full duration of the assignment, from the end of February through the end of the school year
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and professionals
