The Role | The Cash Application Research Specialist is responsible for..

  • Prepares transactions for daily advancing.
  • Runs credit checks and sets initial credit limit for debtors.
  • Ensures all transactions are processed in an accurate and timely basis.
  • Updates cash posting batches when closing cash for the day.
  • Communicates with debtors to clarify discrepancies on payments.
  • Generates refund checks.
  • Investigates discrepancies in payments versus billings and forwards short/over pays to the appropriate personnel for resolution.
  • Reconciles daily activity, including preparation and sending of the close e-mail.
  • Performs scanning function for cash receipts supporting documentation.
  • Assists Cash Application in processing corrections for misapplied payments, as time permits.
  • Monitors and maintains timely correspondence in Treasury inbox.
  • Trains new and existing staff on refund request and approval process.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

The Details | What are the hours, location and compensation?

  • This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
  • TAFS is located in Olathe, KS
  • This position starts at $19.00 per hour.
