Job DescriptionPay Rate: Up to $75/hr combined (taxable hourly + tax-free allowances for travel, housing, meals). Rates may vary and are subject to change. Job Title: NICU Registered Nurse (RN)The NICU Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care to critically ill or premature newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. This role is responsible for monitoring, assessing, and supporting the health and development of neonates requiring advanced medical attention, while providing compassionate support to families during a highly sensitive time.Key Responsibilities:Provide direct patient care to premature and critically ill newborns in accordance with established nursing standards and protocols.Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and operate specialized medical equipment such as ventilators and incubators.Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and other members of the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive care.Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for each infant.Document all care activities, assessments, and changes in condition accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).Educate and support parents and families on newborn care, feeding, and discharge instructions.Maintain a safe and sterile environment to prevent infection and ensure optimal patient outcomes.Respond promptly to emergency situations and perform life-saving interventions as required.Participate in ongoing education, skills training, and performance improvement initiatives within the unit.Qualifications:Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (BSN preferred).Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in [State].Certifications: BLS and NRP required; ACLS and PALS preferred.Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in a Level II or Level III NICU preferred.Skills: Strong critical thinking, communication, and family-centered care skills.
