Job DescriptionPart-Time AccountantWe are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Part-Time Accountant to support our client’s financial operations. The role focuses on core accounting functions and requires a strong grasp of accounting principles, accuracy, and confidentiality. This position will be approximately 25 hours per week. This position is full onsite and will pay between $23 and $25/hr. Duties:
- Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments
- Reconcile accounts payable and resolve discrepancies
- Generate and send customer invoices
- Monitor incoming payments and follow up on outstanding balances
- Record and reconcile accounts receivable transactions
- Prepare and process payroll in compliance with applicable regulations
- Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data
- Post journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Support financial reporting and audit preparation
- Use accounting software to manage daily transactions
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related business field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Prior non-profit experience is preferred but not required
