Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Transportation Manager with a minimum of 5 years of industry experience to oversee and optimize our nightly logistics and transportation operations. This full-time role is critical to ensuring the efficient movement of goods, maintaining on-time delivery standards, and supporting a safe and productive 3rd shift team.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all 3rd shift transportation operations, including scheduling, dispatching, and fleet coordination.
Manage and lead a team of drivers and support staff to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
Monitor and ensure compliance with DOT regulations, safety protocols, and company policies.
Analyze transportation metrics and implement process improvements to enhance performance.
Collaborate with warehouse, customer service, and logistics departments to ensure seamless operations.
Maintain accurate records, including logs, route plans, and performance data.
Troubleshoot delivery or transportation issues in real-time and provide effective resolutions.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of transportation or logistics management experience.
Proven ability to manage teams and coordinate large-scale operations during overnight shifts.
Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation compliance.
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficient in transportation management systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Flexibility to work overnight hours (8:00 PM – 6:00 AM).
