Job Description
As the right hand to the Shipping Manager, the Shipping & Receiving Clerk will help coordinate the daily shipping and receiving functions. This includes handling incoming and outgoing shipments, operating tow motors, organizing materials, and maintaining accurate inventory records in a dynamic manufacturing setting.Responsibilities:
- Support the Shipping Manager in all shipping and receiving operations
- Load and unload trucks using tow motors (forklifts) safely and efficiently
- Prepare and verify shipments and documentation for accuracy
- Receive incoming materials and inspect for damage or discrepancies
- Maintain organized records of inventory, receipts, and shipments
- Communicate with vendors, carriers, and internal teams to ensure smooth logistics
- Keep the shipping/receiving area clean, safe, and organized
- Assist in cycle counts and inventory control efforts
- Monitor material at the machines and dispatch additional stock as needed to maintain steady production flow.
- Other duties as needed
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Experience working closely with shipping/logistics leadership
- Knowledge of ERP or warehouse management systems
- Familiarity with freight and LTL shipping procedures
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Tow motor/forklift experience required (certification preferred)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and working in a fast-paced setting
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, inventory software)
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented

The base salary range for this position is starting at $16.00/hr excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity.
