Construction Project Manager
About the Role - The Construction Project Manager is responsible for managing, supervising, guiding, training, and mentoring assigned staff, conducting performance appraisals, participating in hiring decisions, and overseeing project details. This is an In-Office position, however hands on experience in the construction field is mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Manages, supervises, guides, trains, and mentors assigned staff
- Conducts performance appraisals
- Participates in hiring decisions
- Establishes and monitors employee goals, objectives, and project status
- Understands the sales, marketing, and the procurement process
- Represents Midstate Mechanical in assigned pre- and post-project activities
- Directs, oversees, and manages all staff assigned to manage project details
- Manages and monitors project budgets, costs, and expenditures
- Works with internal Company staff and departments on various tasks
- Reviews contracts, specifications, drawings, and other documents
- Prepares, reviews, analyzes, and presents billings and statements
- Coordinates staffing levels and schedules with crew management
- Attends job review meetings and provides input and information
- Monitors compliance with company and departmental policies
- Prepares and presents various reports
- Works on multiple projects and assignments
- Conducts site visits on a regular basis
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline preferred; High School Diploma or equivalent required
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- 7 to 10 years of experience as a MEP Project Manager, Project Engineer, or other construction positions with responsibilities to manage projects, project details, and related responsibilities.
- 5 to 10 years of Commercial Construction experience.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
- Knowledge of applicable Federal, state, county, and local statutes, rules, regulations, ordinances, codes and other governing requirements
- Knowledge of construction trades such as sheet metal, piping, and plumbing
- Knowledge of the concepts and approaches to modern project management principles and techniques
- Knowledge of budget development, bookkeeping, and accounting
- Knowledge of the basic principles of file and records maintenance

Compensation Package:
- Weekly pay
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed to complete deadlines.

Pay range and compensation package - Salary/Compensation is D.O.E. (very completive pay)
