Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Provide skilled nursing care in a progressive care environment, focusing on patients requiring close monitoring and high-acuity interventions. This contract position is based in Lees Summit, MO, with shifts scheduled on 12-hour nights from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM. The role demands a minimum of one year of experience in a progressive care unit (PCU), with preference for those experienced in high-acuity drip management, arterial lines, and advanced respiratory support such as BiPAP and Airvo.
Key Qualifications:
- Current and active RN license
- Certification in ACLS and BLS required; NIHSS certification beneficial
- At least one year of PCU RN experience
- Experience with arterial lines, high-acuity drips, and respiratory devices preferred
- Ability to work a night schedule and every other weekend
- Flexibility to work major holidays as scheduled
- Commitment to a nicotine-free workplace
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to PCU patients, ensuring patient safety and adherence to care plans
- Monitor high-acuity patients, manage infusions, and respond to changes in clinical status promptly
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Adhere to facility policies, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
- Participate in orientation and ongoing education as scheduled
