Location: Spokane, WA, United States
Facility Type: Short-Term Acute Care | Level II Trauma & Teaching Hospital
Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks
Start Date: ASAP

Schedule & Shift Details:

  • Day Shift
  • 5 × 8-hour shifts per week
  • 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM
  • 40 hours per week
  • Flexible start time available (06:00 AM – 06:00 PM, based on manager approval)
  • Floating required
  • Orientation: 40 hours (Non-billable)

Job Overview:

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Inpatient Registered Dietitian to support adult acute care patients in a fast-paced teaching hospital environment. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical nutrition expertise, including enteral and parenteral nutrition management, and experience working with EMR systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for adult inpatient population
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans
  • Manage enteral and parenteral nutrition, including order writing
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed
  • Provide nutrition education to patients and families
  • Maintain accurate documentation in EMR system
  • Manage a daily caseload of approximately 8–10 patients
  • Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and care planning
  • Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and nutrition guidelines
  • Float between facilities as required

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Dietitian (RD) credential required
  • Active Washington State Dietitian license required
  • Recent inpatient acute care experience (within last 6 months) required
  • Strong experience with enteral and parenteral nutrition
  • Proficiency with EMR systems (Epic preferred)
  • Ability to manage caseload independently
  • Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to work in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
