As a Mill Operator, you will play a vital role in maintaining a positive atmosphere while ensuring smooth production operations. You will be responsible for packaging products according to production schedules and sequencing requirements, as well as disposing of spill, partial bag, and flush material according to guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Weigh, load, and unload trucks and customer vehicles.
- Perform housekeeping duties, including tasks at the top of the mill.
- Follow directions from supervisors and management.
- Notify supervisors of any manufacturing problems.
- Inspect equipment before loading.
- Complete required paperwork accurately and on time.
- Adhere to biosecurity and BSE rules.
- Exhibit attention to detail in all tasks.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in basic math and writing skills for measurements and calculations.
- Preventive maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience in maintenance technician roles, electrical, production, and repair work.
- Forklift operation experience is preferred.
- Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights.
- Self-motivation is essential.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous warehouse experience is advantageous but not required.
- Candidate must have 6 months of manufacturing or farming experience.
- Former feed mill experience is a plus.
- CDL, mechanical, farming, feed mill, product knowledge, mixing, and mathematics skills.
- Willingness to be trained on forklift if lacking experience.

Work Environment
The work environment is an open warehouse setting with the smell of animal feed. Temperatures can vary, being colder in the winter and warmer in the summer in some areas due to shipping bay doors.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jackson, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.
