Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher specializing in mild to moderate and moderate to severe behaviors to support elementary and middle school students. This full-time contract position, located in Corona, CA, involves managing caseloads within an elementary school setting for the current school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored instruction and behavioral support to 3rd-5th-grade students with mild to moderate behavioral needs, likely through the end of the school year.
- Support 6th-8th-grade students with mild to moderate behaviors from January 26 through February 6.
- Manage a caseload of four students with moderate to severe behavioral challenges, with the potential to increase, through the end of the school year.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet students unique needs.
- Monitor student progress and adjust strategies to promote academic and social growth in a supportive classroom environment.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with mild, moderate, and severe behavior needs in a special education setting.
- Ability to manage small caseloads effectively while maintaining individualized attention.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with parents, staff, and support personnel.
- Valid special education teaching credential or certification.
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
