Knox College invites applications for the 10-month, Part-Time position of Customer Service Attendant.
Tuesday-Thursday 4 pm-8 pm, Friday 10:45 am-2:45 pm, Saturday 7:15 am-11:15 am (off Sunday & Monday)
Summary: Under the direction of the Director of Operation, the Customer Service Attendant is responsible for a variety of tasks in relation to interacting with all dining services guests while guiding them through the payment process.
Required Qualifications:
- Possess basic math and reading skills
- Have customer service mentality and be able to effectively interact with students and guests
- Ability to operate CBORD Epic card readers Ability to function in a high stress environment Ability to follow instructions
- Ability to lift 30 pounds
- Ability to continuously stand and walk for the duration of an assigned shift
Additional Responsibilities:
- Utilize proper sanitation and safety practices
- Follow job site, local, state, and federal health, and safety mandated requirements Interact with all guests and guide them through the payment process
- Process transactions using CBORD and credit and debit card transactions Maintain a clean work area
- Assist with the sanitation of the guest welcome area and dining room during down time
- Assist with monitoring the levels of utensil and napkin dispensers and refill if necessary Direct students to dining resources as requested
- Possess an acute knowledge of the menus available during each of your shifts
- Work catering as deemed necessary for operational needs
- Other front of house service attendant tasks may be assigned based on bus
Pay rate will be based on current bargaining unit contract.
