Are you a compassionate and dedicated mental health professional looking to make a difference in people's lives? Our private practice is currently seeking a Mental Health Counselor or Social Worker to join our team on a hybrid basis, offering both in-person and virtual counseling sessions during evenings and one weekend day.
MUST BE ABLE TO COMMUTE TO CORNWALL, NY 1 evening a week and a Saturday or Sunday TO MEET WITH CLEINTS IN PERSON!

Position Overview: As a Mental Health Practitioner, you will have the opportunity to provide counseling services to clients both in-person and virtually. This hybrid role allows for flexibility in scheduling, with evening availability required and one weekend day. You will work closely with clients to assess their needs, develop treatment plans, and facilitate therapeutic interventions aimed at promoting mental and emotional well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plan goal based on clinical diagnoses and client goals
- Provide evidence-based therapy services through a combination of in-person and virtual sessions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in accordance with legal and ethical standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care and support for clients
- Participate in ongoing professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge
Qualifications:
- Master's or doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or Mental Health Counseling
- Current licensure or limited permit as a mental health practitioner in NY
- Experience providing therapy services to diverse populations
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish rapport with clients
- Proficiency in conducting virtual therapy sessions using secure telehealth platforms
- Commitment to upholding ethical standards and confidentiality guidelines
