Compensation

Pay Range: $45.90 - $51.20 per hour, depending on prior experience.

What You Bring (Requirements)

  • A minimum of a master’s degree in Speech Pathology, with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), or equivalent experience of at least one year working with adults/children with neurological disorders affecting language comprehension, expression, cognition, articulation, voice, fluency, and swallowing.
  • Ability to work independently within the department.
  • A valid Speech Pathology license in the state (where applicable) or actively gaining the necessary supervisory experience for licensure.
  • Registration with the Department of Health or eligibility for registration.
  • Preferred membership in the Speech Language Hearing Association.
  • Interest in geriatric rehabilitation.

Your Responsibilities

The Speech Therapist will:

  • Deliver ongoing therapy to clients promptly as per physician directives.
  • Communicate client progress within the agency.
  • Evaluate and treat clients, liaising with families, physicians, and other healthcare team members while maintaining accurate service documentation.
  • Assess clients and develop effective treatment plans based on physician requests, securing approval for services.
  • Initiate prescribed treatments and update physicians on client progress.
  • Ensure proper documentation in compliance with state, federal, and third-party payer regulations.
  • Adhere to the Speech Language Pathology Practice Act in the state.
  • Perform additional duties or special assignments as directed by the Director of Clinical Services.

Experience Preferred

At least one year of experience working with adults/children with neurological disorders affecting language comprehension, expression, cognition, articulation, voice, fluency, and swallowing.

Education Required

A master’s degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.

Licenses & Certifications Required

Valid Speech Therapist license.
