We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and support. You will handle inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure customer satisfaction while maintaining a positive company image. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a passion for helping others.Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide accurate information regarding services to assist customers effectively.
- Handle incoming calls to follow up on customer inquiries or provide additional information as needed.
- Perform data entry tasks to maintain accurate customer records and update information as required.
- Operate cash register, computer, printer, adding machine, copier, and telphones.
- Utilize effective phone etiquette to create a positive experience for every customer interaction.
- Process returned checks, post payments, receipts, fees, and deposits.
- Prepare bank statements.
- Prepare and disburse service installation, cut-off and cut-on orders, and general work orders.
- Perform general clerical and secretarial work as required, including but not limited to answering phones, entering customer data, typing correspondence and reports, coping, and filing documents, and processing daily mail.
- Prepare water and sewer availability letters.
- Prepare credit letters.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve complex issues and enhance overall service quality.
- Assist in sales efforts by identifying potential opportunities during customer interactions.
Additional Job Function:
- Required to be available during Declared Federal, State, and Local Emergencies.
- Perform other duties as required during these Declared events.
Minimum Experience and Requirements:
- Requires a high school diploma from an accredited school program or GED.
- Experienced as a cashier.
- Experience and knowledge in using Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Must have valid ID and clean driving record.
- Proven experience in customer service.
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, bilingual is a plus.
- Proficient in office software applications and comfortable using technology for various tasks.
- Ability to perform outbound calling effectively while maintaining professionalism.
- Strong analytical skills to assess situations and provide appropriate solutions.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures is a plus.
