Location: Edison, NJ 08818
Pay Rate: $30 – $35/hr (Local, Based on Experience)
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 42 Weeks

Schedule

  • Shift: Day Shift (10:00 AM – 6:00 PM)

  • Hours: 40 Hours/Week

  • Schedule: 5 Days per Week

  • Additional: Weekends & Holidays as Needed | On-Call Required

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced EEG Technician to perform electroencephalography (EEG) and neurophysiology monitoring procedures supporting neurology and epilepsy care. The technician will work with adult and pediatric patients across EMU, ICU, inpatient, and outpatient settings, assisting physicians in diagnosing seizure disorders and other neurological conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and specialized EEG monitoring procedures

  • Apply electrodes, operate EEG equipment, and monitor patients during testing

  • Recognize seizure activity and report findings to clinical staff

  • Record, review, and prepare EEG data for physician interpretation

  • Perform activation procedures such as hyperventilation and photic stimulation

  • Educate patients and families about EEG procedures

  • Collaborate with neurologists, neurosurgeons, and nursing staff

  • Maintain EEG equipment and troubleshoot technical issues

  • Ensure accurate documentation and patient safety

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Completion of an accredited EEG training program OR 2+ years EEG experience

  • ABRET EEG Certification (or in progress) required

  • Minimum 1 year of EEG experience

  • Experience with inpatient and outpatient EEG monitoring

  • Knowledge of Natus or Nihon Kohden EEG systems preferred

  • Ability to work in high-acuity environments such as EMU and ICU
