Job Description

Job Description Are You Ready to Own the End-to-End Flow?

Imagine this: A customer depends on your line for a critical delivery. You’ve aligned purchasing, engineering, quality assurance, and logistics; the plan is clear, risks are mitigated, and the metrics are trending green. That’s the impact you’ll make at Autocam, part of NN, Inc., a global leader in precision component manufacturing with 27 sites and thousands of innovators dedicated to quality and reliability.

Your Mission

Lead a defined production area to deliver world-class quality and on-time shipments. Serve as the singular contact for customer delivery and quality matters within your value stream, and drive continuous improvement aligned with NN, Inc.’s Operating System.

How You’ll Win

  • Unify cross-functional support—purchasing, engineering, QA, and logistics—to meet operational objectives.
  • Facilitate focused area meetings to prioritize work, remove roadblocks, and sustain improvements.
  • Elevate team engagement with clear communication, coaching, and timely performance reviews.
  • Champion safety and health practices that comply with OSHA and company policies.
  • Own KPI performance: manage headcount and labor cost, and protect on-time delivery.
  • Turn manufacturing systems data into decisions that improve cost structure and throughput.
  • Lead and support start-up projects inside the value stream.
  • Model adherence to the Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS).

Team Leadership

Manage, train, direct, and evaluate your area’s team, ensuring alignment with company policy and applicable laws—including OSHA regulations.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Preferred: BA/BS in Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years in manufacturing, operations, or supply chain management.
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proficient in English; able to interpret technical documents and deliver presentations to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Quantitative strength: statistics, cost modeling, and data interpretation; confident working with production graphs and datasets.
  • Evidence of rigorous problem solving—defining issues, gathering data, identifying defects, drawing sound conclusions, and implementing practical fixes using production metrics.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, sit, and lift up to 30 pounds; visual acuity for close and distance work, color differentiation, and depth perception (vision correction allowed within safety guidelines).
