Job Description

THERAPIST / COUNSELOR (LCSW-C or LCPC)

The mission of the Lutheran Mission Society’s Compassionate Grace Counseling Center (CGCC) is to provide quality counseling services from a compassionate, professional perspective to empower individuals, families and youth to take control of their emotional and mental health by providing them with the recovery skills needed to thrive. This is accomplished through education, counseling, motivation, skills training, and participation in the treatment of unhealthy behaviors.

LMS Counseling is seeking contractual Therapists / Counselors. These professionals must be comfortable working in a Christian practice and be able to provide Biblically based counseling as requested by clients. They will have at least two (2) years of experience and must be licensed as an LCSW-C or LCPC. The incumbents will:

· Maintain an active caseload and provide clinically appropriate and ethically responsible services in accordance with practice requirements, ethical standards, and Christian beliefs,

· Perform intake and diagnostic assessments,

· Provide ongoing therapy as clinically indicated,

· Document in the electronic health record (EHR – currently Theranest) all interactions, diagnostic evaluations, treatment plans and progress notes in a timely fashion,

· Maintain timely insurance authorizations, as required.

Requirements:

· Master’s degree in social work or counseling

· 2 years of post-graduate experience

· Licensure as LCSW-C or LCPC

· Malpractice insurance ($1M / occurrence; $3M aggregate minimum)

· Willingness to work with children and teens not required, but preferred
