In this role, you’ll review customer drawings and RFQs, determine manufacturing requirements, and prepare detailed cost estimates that help guide company decisions and support customers’ mission-critical programs.

If you enjoy solving manufacturing challenges, collaborating with engineering teams, and working with cutting-edge aerospace components—this is a great fit for you.

• Read and interpret CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and specifications to determine process flow
• Collaborate with engineering, production, purchasing, suppliers, and customer account teams
• Identify outside vendor needs, send RFQs, and evaluate supplier quotes
• Use ERP systems, spreadsheets, and estimating tools to build reliable, traceable estimates
• Consider compliance, quality standards, and documentation needs (AS9100, ITAR, DFARS, NADCAP)
• Maintain cost and tooling databases and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
• Support both prototype and production-level estimating projects

Minimum Requirements:

3+ years of estimating experience in CNC machining and/or sheet metal manufacturing
• Strong understanding of 3-axis & 5-axis machining, fabrication methods, and aerospace requirements
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and apply GD&T principles
• Experience preparing quotes for aerospace or defense components is highly preferred
• Familiarity with AS9100D, ITAR, DFARS, NADCAP standards
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, solution-oriented mindset
