Description

American Traveler is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer with RCS or RDCS certification and at least 6 months of clinical cardiac ultrasound experience for a 13-week travel assignment in Montana.

Details

  • Hospital-based echocardiography lab performing adult cardiac ultrasound diagnostic procedures
  • Procedures include routine 2D echo, stress echo, pharmacological stress echo, transesophageal echo (TEE), emergent echo, 3D imaging, and strain imaging
  • Utilizes ultrasound enhancing agents (UEAs) and agitated saline as clinically indicated
  • Day shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM; Friday availability is required
  • 40 hours per week
  • On-call coverage may be required as scheduled

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Cardiovascular Technology from a CAAHEP-accredited or Health Science program required
  • Minimum 6 months of clinical training in cardiac ultrasound or comparable experience
  • Current RCS or RDCS certification required
  • Current BLS (American Heart Association) required
  • Active state license required, if applicable
  • Candidates must reside at least 90 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

  • Performs echocardiography services across all facility locations as needed
  • Prepares preliminary reports for cardiologist review and interpretation, including comparison to prior studies
  • Participates in IAC-Echo reaccreditation process and quality improvement initiatives
  • Documents all exam information required for interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval
  • ACLS (American Heart Association) preferred
  • Two or more years of post-graduation cardiac ultrasound experience preferred
  • Role requires the ability to sit for extended periods and perform continuous fine-finger movements; occasional standing, walking, and reaching above shoulder level
