Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant

Position Overview

Gwinnett Medical Center – Duluth is seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Physician Assistants (PAs) to join our Advanced Urgent Care team. This is a high-acuity urgent care environment where providers work alongside an Emergency Medicine physician at all times — ensuring collaborative care and no solo coverage.

Coverage Needed

Monday-Friday 10 PM to 8 AM

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments in urgent care settings.
• Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic tests.
• Manage a wide range of acute conditions in collaboration with Emergency Medicine physicians.
• Provide procedural care including:
  • Laceration repair
  • Incision and drainage
  • Foreign body removal
• Ensure timely, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.

Candidate Requirements

• Licensed NP or PA with active Georgia credentials.
• Proficiency in urgent care procedures (laceration repair, I&D, foreign body removal).
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills for team-based care.
• Prior experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or hospital-based practice strongly preferred.
