Pay 17-55 to 24


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate powered forklift trucks, hoists, handcarts, and other material handling equipment

  • Use production paperwork to locate, deliver and place materials in a warehouse environment

  • Maintain equipment in good operating order, following power industrial equipment guidelines and completing start-of-shift inspection checklist

  • Perform housekeeping and 5S to keep the department clean, safe, and well organized

  • Identify problems or potential safety hazards and recommends resolutions

  • Mentor and train entry-level Material Handlers within their scope of responsibilities

  • Perform warehouse transactions

  • Focus on continuous improvements of material handling processes

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 2-4 years related experience as a Material Handler

  • Demonstrated skills necessary to perform the duties of the position

  • Competent in the operation of a fork truck

  • Possess a valid driver’s license

  • Previous experience in SAP, RF Device, and Warehouse Management preferred.

REQUIRED PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Routinely bends and lifts up to 40 pounds individually

  • Works in multiple positions during a shift

  • Ability to stand for an 8-hour shift

ENVRINOMENTAL EXPOSURES:

  • Routinely and regularly works near moving mechanical parts

  • Occasionally exposed to hot conditions

  • Occasionally exposed to non-toxic fumes

  • Moderate noise level

  • Occasionally exposed to oil, grease, gasoline, dust, metal particles and sharp-edged materials

SAFETY REQUIRMENTS:

  • Must be able to wear safety glasses, steel toed shoes and hearing protection.

Hours 5am-3pm Pay Rate 17.55 – 24.47 PPE and Dress Code PPE Requirements: · For Light Industrial/Skilled Industrial roles ALL workers must provide their own and wear steel toed boots o This includes wearing during onsite interviews/assessments & when attending NORTH orientation (1/2 the day is spent with on-the-job training) · Tennant will provide all other required PPE o Louisville, KY - goggles, gloves, safety vest o Holland, MI - goggles, ear protection, gloves, vests for selected areas o Minneapolis, MN Plant #1 - gloves, goggles, eye protection, ear plugs (ear protection required in certain areas) and sheet sleeve protection if requested by worker · Contractors are to maintain a neat and clean appearance Interview Type In-person Education Requirements HS Diploma or GED USV Customer Specific Forms Client – 3335751 – Tennant Company Next Steps Identified candidates submitted to PMO email with sizzle statement, Candidate Submittal Form, and resume.




Pay Details: 17.55 to 24.47 per hour
