Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years ICU RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years in ICU nursing, looking to apply critical care expertise in a mixed medical ICU setting. The unit cares for adult and geriatric patients with medical, trauma, neurosurgical, cardiac, and stroke conditions. Nurses will manage a 2:1 patient ratio in the ICU, with occasional floating to cardiac and stroke units at a 3:1 ratio.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
  • Minimum 2 years ICU nursing experience
  • Ability to float between ICU, cardiac, and stroke units, as needed
  • Ability to comply with call-off policies and flexible scheduling demands
  • Experience with EPIC Electronic Medical Records (EMR) preferred
  • Navy blue scrub colors required
  • TCAR (Transcranial Doppler) certification required prior to start

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric ICU patients with diverse critical care needs
  • Manage patient loads at a 2:1 ratio in ICU and up to 3:1 in float units
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for patient assessments, interventions, and care planning
  • Monitor patients using remote and bedside telemetry
  • Comply with facility policies including internal call-off scheduling
  • Float to designated regional medical facilities and units as needed with advance notice

Schedule/Hours:

  • 36 hours per week
  • Weekend requirement: 6 shifts per 6-week schedule
  • Biweekly start dates

Job Type:

  • Contract assignment, 13 weeks duration
