Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Occupational Therapist to support a diverse caseload in an elementary school setting located in Chimayo, NM. This full-semester contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students from kindergarten through 8th grade.
Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to a caseload of approximately 34 students, supporting their developmental and educational needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy goals as necessary to ensure positive outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school policies and regulations.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license.
- Experience working in school settings with K-8 students preferred.
- Strong understanding of school-based therapy models and educational regulations.
- Ability to manage a full caseload efficiently.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and educators.
Location:
- Position is based in Chimayo, NM, serving an elementary school environment.
Schedule:
- Full-time commitment, 5 days per week, aligned with the school semester calendar.
