An immediate full-time opportunity is available for a certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential support within a school setting in Wilkes Barre, PA. This role is perfect for professionals with a strong background in school-based speech-language services and a commitment to delivering impactful therapy to students.
Position Details:
- Full-time, 35 hours per week (part-time candidates will also be considered)
- Contract duration: Start ASAP through August 7, 2026
- One opening available
- Onsite position requiring reliable transportation
- Initial assignment involves covering maternity leaves in Lackawanna County, followed by working with itinerant students in the Dunmore, PA area during the spring
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology with current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Active Pennsylvania SLP licensure
- Prior experience working in school settings is mandatory
- Ability to obtain and complete required Pennsylvania clearances
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable participating in a Zoom interview process
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech and language therapy services to students across different schools
- Collaborate with educational teams to design and implement effective intervention plans
- Maintain accurate documentation, compliance with state and federal regulations, and progress reports
- Adapt therapy methods to meet the needs of itinerant students during the spring assignment
