Salary: $53,000.00 to $75,000.00

Your Role as a Special Education Teacher:
- Lead Classroom Instruction & Planning - Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons each week in alignment with student needs and team input; contribute to team reviews with observations, concerns, and ideas.
- Support Team Collaboration - Meet regularly with classroom staff to address challenges, align on plans, and ensure smooth team functioning.
- Develop Individualized Goals - Create and maintain treatment plans based on the DIRFloortime® model, targeting each student's developmental profile and goals.
- Coach and Supervise Classroom Staff - Provide ongoing coaching and training to teaching assistants and paraprofessionals; conduct annual performance evaluations.
- Monitor Student Progress - Participate in IEP meetings and share insights on current levels of functioning; document progress through biannual reports, biweekly family updates, and entrance summaries for new students.
- Partner with Families - Maintain open and regular communication with families to ensure alignment on student needs, goals, and progress.
- Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Team - Work alongside educators, therapists, and clinical staff to deliver comprehensive and coordinated support to each student.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of bachelor's degree in special education with plan to continue with master's degree
- Teacher Certification
- Passion for Special Education through patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help students with special needs succeed.
Preferred/Nice-to-have:
- Knowledge of DIRFloortime® is preferred, but not required.
- Master's degree in special education.
