A-Line Staffing is now hiring remote Pharmacy Tech I. The Pharmacy Tech I would be working for a Fortune 500 company and has career growth potential. This would be full-time / 40+ hours per week.

Compensation

  • The pay for this position is $16.55 per hour
  • Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
  • A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates


Highlights

  • The required availability for this position is Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM CT (8-hour shifts)
  • Training Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM CT (6 weeks of training)
  • On-site Access Requirement: Candidates must come in on Friday, October 31, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM for building and system access


Responsibilities

  • Phone Assistance: Respond to incoming calls from members, providers, and others, providing assistance with the criteria-based prior authorization process.
  • Documentation: Maintain complete and accurate documentation of approvals, denials, and patient requests.
  • Coordination: Work with pharmacists for clinical questions and judgment calls.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent written and verbal customer service during calls and follow-up.


Requirements

  • Experience:
    • At least 1 year of experience as a pharmacy technician in an administrative or support role (preferred)
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Teams and Outlook are required, Word and Excel are helpful)
    • Pharmacy Technician Certification or Pharm Tech Trainee License
    • Advanced computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheet use
    • Excellent customer service skills (written and verbal)
    • Ability to sit and focus for entire shifts without interruptions
  • Education:
    • High School Diploma or GED required
    • Pharmacy Technician License (preferred but not required)


Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting
  • Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and regulations
