Salary Range: $54,000 - $88,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC Swiss-type lathes to produce precision parts according to specifications.
  • Perform in-process quality inspections using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
  • Read and interpret blueprints, G-code, and technical drawings to ensure accurate part production.
  • Load, unload, and deburr parts, ensuring continuous machine operation and material flow.
  • Monitor machine performance, making offset adjustments as necessary to maintain part quality and tight tolerances.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine alarms, tool wear issues, or production inconsistencies.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of machines and work area.

Recommended Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience operating and setting up CNC Swiss Lathes.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, GD&T, and using precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, optical comparators).
  • Demonstrated ability to perform tool changes, offsets, and routine machine maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of G-code and M-code for troubleshooting and minor program adjustments.
  • Experience with in-process quality control, identifying non-conforming parts, and making necessary machine adjustments.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Proficient in G-code programming and editing for Swiss machines.
  • Strong understanding and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Experience with CAM software (e.g., PartMaker, Esprit) for program generation.
  • Proven ability to perform preventative maintenance and basic machine troubleshooting.
  • Experience operating and interpreting results from advanced metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparators).
