Schedule & Hours

  • 36-hour guarantee per week
  • 12-hour day shifts, 11a–11p
  • Overnight call two shifts per week, plus weekend call averaging two shifts

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Active RN license valid in Virginia (or compact)
  • BLS and RNFA certifications required; ACLS, CNOR, and CRNFA preferred
  • Minimum 2 years’ surgical first assist experience
  • Experience with Da Vinci Robotic cases (required)
  • Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred
  • Proficiency across robotics, spine, ortho, laparoscopic, general surgery, GYN, urology, and vascular procedures
  • Willingness to meet additional Virginia state credentialing requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver perioperative nursing care utilizing the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, evaluate
  • First assist with a broad variety of surgical procedures including robotics
  • Serve as central contact for patient care coordination in the operating room
  • Provide preop, intraop, and postop assessment, patient education, and discharge planning
  • Monitor for adherence to sterile techniques and safety protocols
  • Delegate and oversee tasks in accordance with licensure and policy
  • Collaborate with interprofessional team to ensure optimal outcomes across all age groups
