Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time speech-language pathologist (SLP) position is available at an elementary school serving PreK6th grade students in Vero Beach, FL, starting August 2025. This contract opportunity involves managing a caseload of approximately 40 students.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive speech and language assessments to determine eligibility for special education services.
- Developing individualized education plans (IEPs) collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team.
- Providing individual and group therapy targeting goals outlined in students IEPs.
- Consulting with teachers, administrators, and parents to support communication skills within the classroom and school community.
- Participating in district-wide initiatives focused on positive school climate, cultural responsiveness, and social justice.
- Training and supporting teachers and staff on strategies to support students with speech and language disorders.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Valid Florida state licensure as an SLP and ASHA certification of clinical competence (CCC).
- Strong knowledge of current speech-language pathology theories, research, and best practices.
- Experience working with diverse student populations and demonstrated cultural competence.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
