A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available for the next school year, serving a middle school caseload in a K-12 educational setting. This contract role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' academic growth and development in a dynamic school environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the diverse needs of students with disabilities
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure effective instructional strategies and accommodations
- Monitor student progress and adjust lessons accordingly to promote positive outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all special education laws and regulations
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and parent conferences as required
Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Experience working with middle school students across various disabilities
- Strong knowledge of K-12 special education strategies and legal requirements
- Ability to develop individualized instruction plans and utilize data to guide teaching methods
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, and colleagues
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment
Location: Billings, Montana
