Summary

The UX Researcher will join a highly focused, cross‑functional product pod dedicated to conceiving, building, and launching entirely new products. This team operates with significant autonomy, enabling deep exploration, rapid experimentation, and end‑to‑end product development. Research is foundational to the group's success—informing what problems to solve, shaping early concepts into viable prototypes, and guiding products toward market readiness. The role requires excellence across formative, iterative, and evaluative research to uncover opportunities, refine ideas, and ensure product‑market fit.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with researchers, designers, product managers, and engineers to identify opportunities, define product direction, and deliver meaningful new products.
  • Independently and collaboratively develop and execute comprehensive research roadmaps aligned to product goals.
  • Lead and conduct research studies across all phases of the product lifecycle, including foundational discovery, iterative concept testing, and evaluative assessments.
  • Contribute insights that shape product strategy, influence execution, and support go‑to‑market planning.
  • Manage external research vendors to extend team capacity and ensure high‑quality research execution.

Education & Experience

  • BA/BS in a human‑behavior–related field such as Human‑Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Communication, Information Science, Media Studies, Computer Science, or Economics.

Typical Day in the Role

  • Collaborate with researchers, designers, PMs, and engineers to align on priorities.
  • Develop and execute research plans and roadmaps.
  • Lead and conduct formative, iterative, and evaluative research studies.
  • Analyze data, synthesize insights, and translate findings into product recommendations.
  • Present insights and narratives that influence product direction.
  • Manage external research vendors as needed.

Location: Remote (United States)

Role type: Contract 9 Month Position

Expected hours: 40 per week
