Job Description

Degree in Radiologic Technology, American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Ultrasound certification, and minimum 1+ years Imaging experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A skilled Vascular Sonographer is needed in Winston-Salem, NC to provide expert imaging services in a busy outpatient and inpatient vascular clinic. This contract position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, including those with peripheral vascular disease, carotid artery disease, venous insufficiency, and more. Using advanced ultrasound technology, you will play a key role in diagnosing and managing various vascular conditions.

Key Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive vascular ultrasound examinations including carotid, upper/lower extremity arterial and venous studies, DVT/reflux assessments, vein mapping, and abdominal vessel evaluations
Utilize specialized equipment such as Philips Epic Elite and Parks PVR/Segmental Pressure machines for accurate diagnostic imaging
Use EMR systems (EPIC and VascuPro) to document findings and maintain patient records accurately
Collaborate with department leadership and peers to ensure high standards of patient care and workflow efficiency
Rotate weekend shifts with no on-call duties; work holidays only on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day as required

Qualifications and Desired Experience

Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS) credential required
Minimum of 2 years dedicated vascular ultrasound experience
Current BLS certification mandatory; ACLS preferred
Proficiency in EPIC EMR system strongly required
Ability to perform a wide range of vascular procedures including arterial bypass grafts and hemodialysis graft imaging
Willingness to float to a nearby outpatient lab in High Point, NC as needed

Schedule

Typical schedule: 8:00 AM to 4:30/5:00 PM with rotating weekends and Thursdays off when working weekends
13-week schedule cycles with holiday expectations as noted
