Tiered Completion Bonus: $500–$250 Based on Month of Hire

As our peak spring season ramps up, we’re looking for dependable Seasonal Warehouse Associates to support our Fulfillment team. The Shipping Clerk is responsible for accurately packing and labeling customer orders using shipping software and ensuring all shipments are processed in a timely manner. Orders range in size from small envelopes to large boxes. This role is best suited for someone who is detail-oriented, works with a sense of urgency, and thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
The pay rate is $18.00 per hour. Seasonal associates who complete their full seasonal assignment and meet performance, attendance, and conduct expectations will receive a tiered completion bonus paid on their final paycheck. The bonus amount is based on the month of hire and ranges from $500 for early-season hires to $250 for associates hired later in the season, with amounts decreasing as the season progresses.
Requirements:
Daily Tasks
- Prioritize oldest orders and priority orders, or according to instruction from the Order Fulfillment Manager
- Verify shipment accuracy by comparing packed contents with shipping system data
- Adjust or input shipping data such as weight and package size and choose appropriate shipping service
- Determine shipping methods, routes, or rates for materials to be shipped.
- Prepare orders for shipment: pack, seal, label, and stage for carrier pickup following placement protocols
- Move BMCs or FedEx pallets as needed to support shipping operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation; restock supplies as necessary.
- Support additional warehouse tasks such as packing products, restocking inventory, counting items, and light cleaning when shipping volume is low.
Computer skills required:
- Basic Navigation - Using scroll bars, a mouse, and dialog boxes to work within the computer or tablet’s operating system. Being able to access and switch between applications and files of interest.
- Inventory Software- Using a computer application to manage inventory by editing information, inputting data and retrieving specific records.
Technology & Equipment Used:
- Technology: Barcode scanners, desktops, tablets, label printers, digital scales
- Shipping & Packing: Tape guns, razor knives, heat sealers, seed packing machines, measuring cups and spoons
- Material Handling: Picking carts; manual and electric pallet trucks
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high levels of accuracy
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines without constant supervision
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of shipments
- Capable of packing and processing 200+ packages per day accurately
- Proficient in basic computer and tablet use, including data entry and inventory software navigation
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions with minimal oversight
- Dependable, eager to learn, and committed to working collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Ability to safely and efficiently operate basic warehouse tools and equipment
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in a warehouse or fulfillment environment
- Proficient with computers, tablets, barcode scanners, and electronic shipping systems
- Basic knowledge of shipping procedures, packaging methods, and carrier services (e.g., FedEx, USPS)
Work Environment & Physical Demands
This is a full-time, on-site position at Eden Brothers’ fulfillment facility in Arden, NC. The Warehouse Shipping Clerk performs duties primarily on the warehouse floor and at a shipping station. The role requires frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout an 8-hour shift. Candidates must be able to lift and move boxes weighing up to 50 lbs and handle repetitive packing and labeling motions. Use of hands and arms is necessary for operating label printers, tape guns, scales, and packing tools. Visual accuracy is essential for verifying orders and shipping labels. Work may involve exposure to varying warehouse temperatures, especially during peak seasons. Flexibility to support additional warehouse functions, such as product packing and inventory restocking, may be required based on workload and shipping volume.
