We are seeking a qualified Orthodontic Registered Dental Assistant ( RDA) to join our orthodontic practice on a part time basis. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and experience in orthodontic assisting. This position requires flexibility to travel between multiple office locations and the ability to maintain consistent clinical standards across practices.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of orthodontic assisting
- Active RDA license in good standing
- Knowledge of orthodontic procedures includings banding,bonding, wire changes and debonding
- Ability to take dental impressions, intraoral photos and digital scans
- Familiarity with infection control, sterilization and OSHA guidelines
- Bilingual ( English/ Spanish ) Preferred
- Ability to work in multi-office practice environment
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist the orthodontist during clinical procedures
- prepare, disinfect and maintain treatment rooms and equipment
- Ensure proper instrument sterilization and infection control protocols
- Document clinical notes accurately and efficiently
- Educate patients on orthodontic treatment and oral hygiene
- Maintain a professional and supportive clinical environment
