Job Summary
The Health Education Supervisor provides both clinic and community education, which includes individual and group level education, community presentations and in-service training for staff. This position provides support to the respective infectious disease programs at ICHS- for example grant-funded programs, Hepatitis B and C Program, HIV/PrEP program and related functions to the clinic. It requires a multi-cultural, population health-based approach to health education with a focus on infectious disease and chronic conditions. This position supports oversight of Health Education in all clinical sites, coordinating services with clinic staff and external partners. It provides guidance and training to other Health Educators on infectious disease topics and clinic workflows.
Education - Bachelor’s degree in health education, nursing, public health specialty, social work or related field preferred. Educational, counseling, or teaching experience preferably in a health care setting may be substituted year for year for the education requirement.
Experience - Two (2) years’ experience providing individual or community health education. Experience in program management, staff supervision, training and program development is desired.
Other Requirement(s) - Ability to travel between ICHS sites as needed. If using personal vehicle to travel, valid Driver's License and Proof of Insurance is required.
