Bachelor’s degree in Education, valid state Teaching license or certification, and 1+ years Teaching experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A middle school technology teaching opportunity is available in Zion, IL, offering a contract position from ASAP through June 1, 2025. This role involves delivering specialized instruction in technology to students in grades 3-5, emphasizing the integration of career and technical education (CTE) principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging technology curriculum aligned with state standards for grades 3-5
- Deliver instruction that fosters student understanding and skills in technology and CTE
- Collaborate with school staff to support student learning and classroom objectives
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and adapting teaching methods as needed
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge in technology education and related certifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois teaching certification with Technology Specialist Endorsement and/or approval
- Experience teaching middle school students in a technology or related field preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and staff
