Lead Cook

Express Employment in Temple Terrace is currently hiring candidates for a Lead Cook position for a local company. This position is full-time and has long-term opportunities. You will be responsible for preparing meals, prepping food, and cooking based on set recipes in a timely manner. This position requires successful completion of a Level 2 background check, which includes fingerprinting and review of criminal history in accordance with state and federal law.
Job Description:
- Pay rate $19+ per hour
- Prepare and cook meals according to menus, recipes, and dietary requirements
- Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Monitor food inventory and report supply needs
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Previous experience in a kitchen required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Speak, read, and comprehend in English
- Level 2 Background check is required for this role
- Recent and relevant work history in the last 6 months
